Do all barbarian seem somewhat the same to you? For me they do. Join me while i try to get rid of some of the typical tropes and try to go for a different take on them. And i bet that you like me cannot name a hero that's a cobbler, time to get that and your shoes fixed.

(Of)f Balance and Flaws

In this episode we analyse the previous 5 characters as a party and then go into a more meta discussion of the game. Some talk about two different ways people enjoy the game and how they relate to a party composition. The importance of characters flaws for a story is explained. And finally the concepts are mixed together hoping that anyone can benefit from understanding the inner workings of the game itself, at a level that cannot be usually found in handbooks and manuals.

Fleeting Freedom

Here i present you a character that will allow you to approach the game from a different angle. Trying to freshen up one of the feathery races. Imagine what  your character can achieve when the sky is the limit.

Corporal Shell

There’s a particular class that I have issues with how homogeneous it feels, there’s a marked right way to make these characters. The Ranger and although I like Legolas and find Drizzt do Urden maybe too cool, there has to be an option that goes further away from this 2 styles, bow or dual wielding. Not just the fighting itself but something more fundamental. The character i present in this episode has as little to with the typical ranger as crabs with cats.

Everyone in One and one for all

Have you ever wanted to play a character that can shift appearance, like mystique or Envy?Are you ready to sign a pact with some superior -totally not evil- being?
I explore this character concept trying to add some more flair and a mysterious backstory. Hope you get Charmed.

A leafless Druid

Druids are a very popular and powerful class that present interesting ideas and possibilities, from Mages of the elements to Shepherds of Beasts or Wise men keepers of ancient knowledge.
What about giving them a little more depth without all the stereotypical tree-hugging?
Here i present you a tribal possibility as part of an uncommon kind of culture.
 

Runa "Braids" Bronzehammer

I explore the idea of mixing Gimli with Lara croft and adding a little more to refresh the typical dwarf-fighter.
Then i narrate a possible backstory.
Finally there's an overview of the attributes, mechanics and some recommendations, which will allow someone to fill the character sheet.
